Corporate credit ratings training programme, Europe
Credit Rating & Training
The Challenge
A European client wanted to train finance professionals in how rating agencies judge companies. Most courses teach theory. The client wanted participants to apply the methods to a real company in two days.
What We Did
- 01Designed a two-day agenda, from the basics of a rating to a mock rating committee.
- 02Built the course on published S&P and Moody's rating methods.
- 03Created a full case study on a Western European telecom group with more than $35 billion in annual revenue, kept anonymous.
- 04Used Bloomberg data to set the industry context for each module.
Value Delivered
- Participants practised the work of a rating analyst on a real company.
- One case ran through both days, so each skill built on the last.
- The client received a programme it can run again for new groups.
